Have you ever imagined what would happen if one day water runs out? Yes, you guessed it correctly. We all will die. This is because water is one of the most important resources on Earth. However, this article is a must read as it tells you seven things you must know about distilled water.

For the sake of those who do not know what distilled water is, I will enlighten you. Distilled water is generally water that is free from impurities, toxins and chemicals. Distilled water is odorless and tasteless.

Truth is, distilled water does not contain any chlorine. This is because during the steaming process, the chlorine is left behind. Amazing? I think so.

So how is distilled water produced? The most common way to make distilled water is by distillation. The process is very simple and it involves boiling, steaming, evaporation and cooling. Yes, it is that simple. When the process is done, all impurities in the water are left behind.

The reason behind this method is that steam is very much lighter and less dense. Thus, this tells us that steam cannot carry the impurities within itself, leaving behind the impurities. As soon as the process is done, the distilled water is safe to be drunk, clear and safe from all impurities such as chemicals, toxins and other wastes, including metal.

The next thing on the agenda is why distillation and not other methods. Distillation has been adopted all over the worlds. Why? This is because; it is much more economical than other purification method. It is energy saving as well.

Although chlorine helps to purify water, it stays in the water for long. Regular drinking of water mixed with chlorine will lead to a number of health problems. Distilled water can also be used on a large scale basis, to contain or avoid the occurrence of any water borne diseases.

There are a number of misconceptions about distilled water. Most people think that drinking distilled water is not good for the body because they have the perception that there is lack of essential minerals. However, you need to understand that we obtain minerals from the food we eat, not the water we drink.

If you have heard that distilled water can be superheated, let me tell you this; you have been fooled. Trust me on this; distilled water cannot be super heated.

How do you get distilled water? The best suggestion that I can offer you is that you should install a home water distiller. There are many benefits of it. Some of it are: it is cheap, the water is safe and healthy and it cuts down the bills in your house. One thing to remember you should always drink safe water and one of it is distilled water.
